Professor Michelle Carr delivers Inaugural Lecture

Head of College Professor Thia Hennessy, University President Professor John O Halloran, Professor Michelle Carr, and Interim Dean of CUBS Professor Anthony McDonnell at Professor Carr's Inaugural Lecture

Professor Michelle Carr, Professor in Accounting (Sustainable Business) at Cork University Business School, delivered her Inaugural Lecture at the University on Tuesday, 16th April 2024. 

The lecture, entitled "Accounting, Managment and Accountability in Time of Crisis" took place in the Dr Dora Allman Meeting Room of the Hub , and was well attended by faculty, staff, students and invited guests who were welcomed to the event by University President Professor John O'Halloran.   Interim Dean of CUBS Professor Anthony McDonnell introduced Professor Carr, and moderated a questions and answers session following the lecture.  Head of College Professor Thia Hennessy closed the event, thanking all for attending and congratulating Professor Carr on her informative and interesting talk. 

Professor Carr's research focuses on performance measurement systems and managment control. She is Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance in CUBS.
