Last weekend saw the return of Men's League Hockey to UCC. It was a tough game to start with but onwards and upwards. This Saturday they play Midleton at home in the Mardyke, 10.30am tip off.
The 2nds got off to a convincing start in the Women's Division 2 League with a comprehensive victory over Ashton B and a hat trick for Player of the Match Sophia O Shea. Division 2 play Cork Harlequins away on Sunday and will get a closer measure on the competition in the league this year.
This weekend sees the start if the EYHL1 for the Division 1 team. They travel to Limerick and play Catholic Institute who were third in the ieague last year. The team are looking forward to the season ahead and to maintain Division 1 status will be the main goal.
With huge numbers at Division 3/4 training extended panels have been selected. There is nothing set in stone at this stage of the season. Div 3 travel to Tipperary on Saturday and Div 4 play Waterford on Sunday, both games in the Div 3/4 Combined Cup.
Social Hockey saw a massive turn out last Wednesday with over 60 students attending. We look forward to developing this section further this year.
