These animals have a distinctive spiral shell with large eyes, lots of tentacles for grasping prey and a special bellows for pumping out water to help them move fast through the water. They are relatives of octopus and the only member of the cephalopod family alive today that has a shell.

 

Fun Fact

Nautiloids were used in stone age burials.
