Ghent University presented its findings on the Group Model Building at the European Public Health Conference.
Last week the 18th European Public Health Conference was held in Helsinki, Finland. FOODPATH was represented through a digital poster displaying the Group Model Building in WP1 done in Belgium, presented by Evita van Duin from Ghent University.
The poster captured the outcomes of the sessions held in Ghent, where participants explored the mechanisms influencing dietary behaviour among individuals living in vulnerable socio-economic circumstances.
The conference also devoted significant attention to the commercial determinants of health, an important focus area of FOODPATH WP2. Several sessions addressed this topic, including Suzannah D'Hooghe from Sciensano, who showcased the work of FOODPATH WP2. The session was well attended and chaired by Monika Kosinka (Global Lead Health Equity & Social Determinants of Health Equity, WHO) and Dorota Sienkiewicz (Senior Policy Liaison, EuroHealthNet).
Evita reflected that it was a really informative week, full of inspiring talks and a little bit of snow!
