Networks
Communication networks provide the foundation for modern society and business to function effectively. At nasc research we investigate network architecture and design, protocols, and performance. Our focus is on wireless networks, including 5G/6G cellular, low-power long-range, and short-range networks for industrial use.
Systems
Advances in computing technology means that programmable devices are ubiquitous. At nasc research we explore novel embedded and networked systems at the edge of modern networks. Our focus is on the Internet of Things, connected and autonomous ground and aerial vehicles, and edge computing.
Security
To engender trust in computer networks and systems, advanced cyber-security techniques are needed. At nasc research, we are leading work on algorithms and systems to serve to secure user and device-based operation. Our focus is on location privacy, security of embedded devices, and enhancing trust in voice-based communications.
