Night Courses in Conversational Irish

Course Summary

These courses are suitable for those who have a certain level of fluency in Irish as well as those who would have very little Irish. The main emphasis is placed on conversation – teaching basic structures, improving fluency and accuracy and expanding vocabulary.

The general reaction of former participants is that these courses are very successful and most enjoyable.

Fee

€250 (€200 concessionary rate).

Course Details - Autumn 2025

Participants are required to attend one night a week between 7pm and 9pm and classes are available on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday nights. Classes will start on the week commencing 22 September 2025.

Register

New Members

New members may register on Monday, 1 September 2025 or Tuesday, 2 September 2025, 7pm - 9pm in ORB G01, O'Rahilly Building. All registrations will be in-person this year. Prospective students will have an opportunity to meet with a tutor in order to discuss the level and class that would be most suited to them. 

A special welcome will be extended to false beginners - those who have studied Irish to Leaving Certificate level before but who have forgotten almost all of what they learned. Students who fall into this category are asked to fill out a separate application form.

A seperate application form will be sent to past members who registered with us in 2024 - 2025. Please follow the instructions on this form if you wish to reregister.
