Events

The Centre for Spoken Irish organizes events which students and staff of the University as well as members of the general public can attend. Talks, public lectures, concerts and plays are some of the many events that are held in the Seomra Caidrimh, in our classroom ORB G01 and in the University. The Irish langauge societies in UCC avail of our facilites on a regular basis in order to run their events.

Pádraig Tyers

In order to celebrate 100 years since the birth of Pádraig Tyers, the Centre for Spoken Irish organised an event in the Seomra Caidrimh on 20 October 2025. A plaque was unveiled in honour of this great man at the event.
