UCC Humanities Platform’s capital budget has contributed to the commissioning of two Remote Teaching & Learning (RTL) facilities at UCC. Two existing lecture theatres have been fitted with the highest and most up-to-date teaching, recording and editing facilities to enable both simultaneous and recorded events to be transmitted and received. This will greatly enhance the provision of online lectures, webcasting and podcasting in addition to the involvement of external remote participants in real-time educational events. As a result PRTLI 4 has assisted in the transformation of video teaching, contact and production facilities for humanities at UCC.
