Lecturer in Sociology (1-Year Contract)

The Department of Sociology invites applications the above fixed-term full-time contract post for the academic year 2006/7. The Department offers a complete programme from BA to PhD. Its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes cover a wide range of theoretical and empirical research traditions. At postgraduate level it offers a taught MA with research streams and seminars in the following areas (Sociology, Society and Mass Communications; Health, Civilisation and Sustainable Development; Sociology of the Public Sphere; Irish Society; Sociology of Development and Globalisation) and the MPhil and PhD degrees.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Sociology, or equivalent in refereed publications.
