In recent years, the Medical School at UCC has embarked on a process of far reaching reform of its medical curriculum and is currently engaged in implementing these reforms. In response to the adoption by Government of the Fottrell report on Medical Education this year, the Medical School wishes to invite applications for a number of key academic appointments in medical education to work with the Director of Medical Education to deliver the new curriculum to the highest possible standard.
Research activity will be facilitated through affiliations with cognate disciplines in the university and with individuals with similar research interests.
Lecturer / Director of Communication Skills)
The post-holder to this full-time permanent post will work closely with the Director of Medical Education and the Director of Behavioural Sciences to develop a strong communications skills programme that is a core element of the new curriculum. Candidates will have a professional background in a healthcare or behavioural science discipline and have appropriate experience in teaching at third level
Salary scale [new entrants]:€60,336 - €79,483 p.a.
