Status: 12 month contract (with possible renewal)
Closing Date: 31 August 2006
Salary: €25,000 - €35,000
Position available:
This full time post with the Hydromet group at University College Cork is currently available. The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance of a range of field equipment including eddy covariance systems and meteorological stations. In addition the person will provide technical support in the commissioning and maintenance of a gas chromatograph.
The successful candidate will:
- Possess an undergraduate (first or upper second class) or Masters degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, Applied Physics, Meteorology, Environmental Science or a related
discipline
- Have well developed data management and numerical analysis skills
- Possess a full, clean driving licence
- Have experience of field research and have a knowledge of data acquisition hardware and software systems
The project is due to start in October 2006.
