Clinical Research Fellow in Neonatal Neurology
Clinical Research Fellow in Neonatal Neurology
Applications are invited from a suitably qualified clinician to work with an internationally recognised research group based in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cork University Maternity Hospital, Ireland and with close links to University College Hospital London (Neonatal Brain Research Group).
The research will focus on Neonatal Neurology with a special interest in seizures and encephalopathy. The appointee will be expected to have a flexible approach to working hours and will be encouraged to apply for a Postgraduate qualification (MD/PhD). Applicants should have experience in Clinical Neurology, Paediatrics or Neonatology at Registrar level.
High level of IT competency and personal organisational skills is required. Previous research experience is desirable but not essential. The post will provide ample training opportunities and the chance to broaden clinical and research skills.
The post is available from July 2008 and is funded by the Wellcome Trust for 3 years.
Salary will be on the Registrars’ salary scale in the range: €51, 237 - €61,282pa inclusive, superannuable.
