Our Mission

The Áras na Mac Léinn mission is to enhance the campus experience by providing exceptional services and activities to the UCC community on a sound commercial footing.

Our Values

It is important we have distinct values for our organisation, so that they can guide everyday behaviours, decision making and guide our team in our everyday interaction with those who visit our centre.   Our core values are: Exceptional Services, Loyalty, Trust, Staff Development, Customers & Campus Community, Location (Croí an Choláiste) and the Campus Experience.

Our Vision

It is our vision to be the leading provider of innovative and sustainable facilities and retail services that create a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable Student Centre that serves as the ‘Croí an Choláiste’ or heart of campus life, promoting student well-being, academic success and community engagement to every student, member of staff and visitor at University College Cork.

Annual Áras na Mac Léinn Awards

The Annual Áras na Mac Léinn Awards have been taking place since The Student Centre opened in 1996.

Each year, full-time and student staff are recognised for their service, dedication and contribution to The Student Centre.

Staff are recognised across a range of categories, with the awards providing an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and acknowledge the valuable contribution they make throughout the year. The awards night is a special occasion for everyone and marks the end of the academic year in a spirit of celebration.
