Overview

Are you a new staff member or have changed roles recently, and would like to familiarise yourself with the wider university?

The UCC Orientation programme introduces new staff to the University, its structures, procedures, resources, & community. Hearing from colleagues across the organisation on areas relevant to you as a new staff member, this is also a great opportunity to meet new colleagues & learn about the University.

Staff feedback

  • Better understanding of where to find information for day to day working requirements. I thought the program was very well structured and tailored to the audience.
  • It was great to get an overview of the various facilities/options available for staff in UCC.
  • Beautifully delivered and great to have contact names for specific areas.
  • This workshop informed me of relevant HR contact points in UCC, as well as other useful information in relation to Workvivo, staff resources, etc.
  • Very informative. I got really important information about guidelines for probation.
  • The outline of the HR Team structure & Staff Support services will prove very helpful going forward working in a new institution as big as UCC. Very clear, concise and informative summary. The Q&A was great as it immediately welcomed one to take part & to ask questions, from which we all learn. Thank you!
