Johnson and Johnson WiSTEM2D 4th year Bursary Recipients

Congratulations to Amy O’Reilly (4th year Biochemistry) and Katie O’Brien (4th year Biomedical Science) who were awarded Johnson and Johnson WiSTEM2D 4th year bursaries.

Amy is currently the Secretary of the WiSTEM Society at UCC, and during the academic year 2019/2020 was the WiSTEM Society Social Media Officer. Amy completed a placement in Janssen (2020) and GSK (2019) and is the Biochemistry class representative since September 2019. See Amy's career profile on LinkedIN.

Katie O'Brien, Women in STEM 2020

Katie O'Brien

Katie has been a member of the Biomedical Science society since first year, taking up the role of Vice‐Chairperson in 2019/2020 and Chairperson in 2020/2021. Katie has introduced several initiatives such as the Buddy Programme and Can U Help annual charity (Cork University Hospital). Katie also successfully secured a Johnson and Johnson WiSTEM2D scholarship in third year and in 2020 attained a UCC Societies STARS Individual Award and UCC Works Award.
