Participate in our Graphics Competition
To highlight the creativity and diversity of research within the STOCHASTICA community, we are launching a STOCHASTICA Graphics Competition, open to all Action members. The competition invites participants to submit a visual output from their research, together with a short explanation of its scientific context and relevance, by April 2, 2026. Selected submissions will be showcased on the STOCHASTICA website and highlighted at upcoming Action events.

Submission Guidelines
-
One original image related to their research.
The image does not need to be published and should not currently appear in a journal or book. However, submissions may be inspired by previously published results, provided the image itself is original (for example, generated using a different random seed, parameter choice, or visualisation setup). -
A short description (approximately 300 words) explaining the mathematical background, relevance, and significance of the image.
-
Author name(s) and affiliation(s).
How to Submit
- Submissions should be sent by email to stochastica.cost.graphics.2026@gmail.com.
- Please quote the most relevant working group (WG) for your submission (maximum two WGs).
-
Deadline: 2 April 2026.
Selection and Awards
-
WG leaders will select the best submissions within each working group.
-
The best overall submissions will be:
-
Displayed prominently on the STOCHASTICA website, and
-
Highlighted at upcoming STOCHASTICA Action events.
-
In addition, selected contributions will form the basis of a future STOCHASTICA Mathematics & Art Exhibition, aimed at outreach and engagement beyond the immediate research community.
Why Participate?
-
Celebrate the aesthetic dimension of stochastic mathematics.
-
Build a visually engaging website that reflects the STOCHASTICA community;
-
Create a lasting visual resource for communication and public outreach.
