PhD student, Qamar Usman on 3 month placement at I2CAT in Barcelona.

Qamar Usman, a 3^rd year research PhD student under the supervision of Dr Aisling O’ Driscoll and Prof. Cormac Sreenan, and funded through the Advance CRT, has commenced a 3-month research placement at I2CAT in Barcelona. 

This is compliments Qamar’s work in green communications for a slice 5G network. He will seek to understand the impact of 5G network variability on URLLC application such as Teleoperated driving (ToD) and whether the quality of service of such applications can still be met when deploying energy saving network approaches.
