AWS “Breaking Barriers for Agentic Networks” event

Congratulations to Qamar Usman, an Advance CRT PhD student (co-supervised by Aisling O’ Driscoll and Cormac Sreenan) and Ahmed Abdelreheem, a postdoctoral researcher (under Ahmed Zahran and Cormac Sreenan) who took part in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) “Breaking Barriers for Agentic Networks” event in conjunction with the Telecom Infra project.

As part of this 3 day event, they showcased joint research in reducing energy expenditure by leveraging O-RAN and to engage in insightful discussions on the role of agentic AI in next-generation networking.

During the event, They worked with the VIAVI AI-RAN Scenario Generator (AI-RSG) tool for simulating and optimising intelligent RAN environments.
