From Ideas to Impact: Building the Future of Nutrition and Health Research Workshop
Merve Kip, from Izmir Katip Celebi University, participated in the HDHL @Food4Health Early Career Scientist Workshop: “From Ideas to Proposals – Communication & Collaboration Skills for Early Career Researchers”, hosted by ILSI Europe in Brussels.
Following the workshop, she also took part in the Early Career Network (ECN) meeting on 14 October, where participants shared best practices and engaged in discussions on strategies to build and sustain dynamic, collaborative research networks across Europe.

The event brought together early career researchers from across Europe, working in food, nutrition, health, and sustainability, to strengthen their ability to transform innovative ideas into impactful research proposals.
Throughout the workshop, participants had the opportunity to:
✅ Pitch and refine their research ideas
✅ Exchange interdisciplinary feedback
✅ Strengthen proposal writing, communication, and team-building skills
Gulsah Kaner, Merve's Supervisor, and Lead on the FOODPATH Türkiye team commented "We’re grateful to HDHL Food4Health, ILSI Europe, and all the inspiring mentors and organisers for empowering the next generation of scientists to collaborate, communicate, and innovate for a healthier future".
