FOODPATH presentation at the ERA4Health Early Career Network Event in Frankfurt.

4 Apr 2025

Klaudia Alcer, from the Polish FOODPATH team, and  Evita van Duin from the Belgium team, had the pleasure of attending the Early Career Network meeting in Frankfurt. This network aims to provide a platform for early-career researchers, fostering skill development, mutual learning, and to create connections for potential collaborations.

The primary objective of this kick-off meeting was to bring together colleagues from the various Era4Health projects, share initial results, and explore the future of the network. The first day was dedicated to presenting the scope and first results of the Era4Health projects. Klaudia and Evita had the opportunity to present the work accomplished by the FOODPATH team. They discussed the systematic review as part of Work Package 3, the scoping review of Work Package 2, and the Work Package 1 Group Model Building sessions that are either underway or in preparation. The project was received positively, and it was emphasised that FOODPATH could serve as a strong foundation for future collaboration in implementing specific, practical actions. The first day concluded with a city walk and dinner.

On the second day, they participated in a workshop aimed at enhancing their presentation and summary skills. The discussions focused on expectations for the future of the network. It was agreed to continue collaborating online as a platform for knowledge and experience exchange, as well as a way to provide development opportunities for young scientists. A potential future in-person meeting is also under consideration.

Klaudia said "Overall, the two days were productive and it was great to meet the other researchers on the Era4Health projects and discuss the field and research with them".
