Duckweed Workshop on the cover

1 Aug 2023

We made it on the ISCDRA Newsletter "Duckweed Forum" with our write-up on the highly successful duckweed workshop, which was held in June.

The cover shows the growing of duckweed in an experimental setup and the large scale duckweed channels at the fish farm in Mt Lucas, Co. Offaly, as well as a detailed image of duckweed plants. Since the workshop was hosted at University College Cork, the UCC quad was also depicted.

The workshop attracted international speakers and attendees, and covered a wide range of aspects relating to the growth of duckweed and its potential for use in circular economy processes in the agriculture sector.

A full write-up of the workshop can also be found inside this Duckweed Forum issue.

Duckweed Forum is a quarterly newsletter edited by the International Steering Committee on Duckweed Research and Applications (ISCDRA) and issues can be freely downloaded at http://www.ruduckweed.org/.

A report on the duckweed workshop at UCC can also be found on our own website at the Duckweed Workshop page.
