CONFERENCE: RAMIRAN 2025 in Wageningen, The Netherlands
Last week, from 15-17 October 2025, our PhD Cian Redmond had the pleasure of attending the 19th RAMIRAN Conference - Managing organic resources in agriculture: opportunities and challenges.
He presented some of his PhD research on the potential of duckweed species for the valorisation of agricultural wastewaters. Duckweed's rapid growth, high protein content, and favourable amino acid profile make it an ideal candidate for a more circular agricultural industry.
A particular highlight was visiting Wageningen University & Research's experimental field station, Sinderhoeve. It was great to see and hear about some of the exciting ongoing research.
