Cork Smart Gateway, Tech Industry Alliance & UCC's School of Computer Science combine to deliver Tech Industry Alliances first Tech Talk of 2025.

Tuesday, January 28th saw UCC’s School of Computer Science, Tech Industry Alliance and Cork Smart Gateway combine to deliver Tech Industry Alliance’s first event of 2025: “Innovating Together: Cutting-Edge Technologies for Industry”. The event brought together leading academic experts, industry professionals, and people with a keen interest in the latest technological trends for an engaging discussion on the schools research programmes and the future of technology.
The event provided a platform for the school to engage with local companies, fostering collaboration between academia and industry. It also served as an opportunity to exchange knowledge, cultivate innovative partnerships, and strengthen industry connections—aligning with the school's strategic objective of driving innovation and delivering real-world impacts. The morning was filled with insightful discussions on AI & Ethics, Cybersecurity, Networks, Software, and Human-Computer Interaction, highly important topics in this age of rapid digitalisation. Attendees had the opportunity to explore collaborative opportunities, the schools cutting edge research programmes, and funding pathways to collaborate with the school on a wide range of initiatives.
