This space is dedicated to YOU. The children and young people who are curious to learn more about children's rights and climate justice, and inspired to make the world a better place. We are so happy you are here! 

HOW TO USE THIS PAGE: On this web page you will find some resources to help you understand the climate crisis and to help you if you are feeling climate anxiety. You will also find easy read versions of YCJ academic publications, so that you can read and better understand the work we are producing. This page also has a selection of some of the most important youth climate cases - We have made them easier for you to read and understand. You can find the full versions of articles and cases on other pages of the website if you want to read them too.

The Young Advisory Team 'Zine'

In 2025, the YCJ Young Advisory Team (YAT) co-created a Zine! Inside this 12-page booklet, you'll learn about each young advisor and the incredible work they do across the globe.

As you flip through the fun, colourful pages, you will find out more about the YCJ project and some key terms as defined by the young advisors. There is also a 'what kind of climate leader are you?' segment, and top tips on involving children and youth in research.. from the young advisors themselves!

Checklist for Child-Friendly & Accesible Materials

Making our materials work for young people

Communicating with children and young people about their rights — including their rights in the climate crisis — means more than simplifying language. It means rethinking structure, tone, and format so that materials are genuinely accessible, engaging, and meaningful to their intended audience.

This checklist, developed with the YCJ Young Advisory Team and adapted from Laura Lundy's model of child participation, sets out the standards we apply when creating child-friendly resources — from clarity and language to visuals and design. We use it internally to guide our own materials, and we're sharing it here in case it's useful to others working on rights-based communication with children and young people.
