Artwork
Over the next 5 years, artwork from creative workshops with children and young people will be displayed here. The artwork demonstrates a visual, art-based representation of children's rights and climate change through the eyes and experiences of young people.

Young Advisory Team (YAT) Artwork
The YAT has been supporting the Youth Climate Justice team since June 2024 by providing a child/youth lens to the research questions and methods that the project will use in the participatory, art-based workshops. The YAT's expertise has helped the team to better refine the research questions and methods to ensure that the children and young people involved in the Nepal, Canada, South Africa and Ireland case studies are partaking in research that takes a children's rights-based approach and is meaningful and fun.
In September 2024, the YAT tested out two methods - drawing and 'photovoice' - which are visual-based research methods that bring the participant into the role as a researcher themselves in a unique way. Photovoice entails taking photographs within one's community to allow participants to capture and reflect upon an issue of concern in their communities/lives through their perspective/worldview. Some of the YAT members chose to draw their answers and thoughts in response to the research questions, using drawing as a method. Along with the photography and artwork, the Young Advisors created subquestions and provided a narrative to give their images more context in their own words and feelings.
