01 Nov 2024Andreas attended the IBM-TCD joint workshop on recent advances in quantum computing in the Trinity's Ideas Workplace in Dublin on Friday, 1 Nov 2024. The workshop included talks on recent advances in quantum information theory, quantum simulations and machine learning.

10 Oct 2024We said "goodbye" to Jing and had a celebration in the Franciscan Well Brewery on Thursday evening, 10th October.

11 Sep 2024Andreas has attended the international conference on quantum technology QTech 2024 from 10-12 September in Berlin (Germany) (https://premc.org/conferences/qtech-quantum-technology/).
During the conference, he also gave an oral presentation on the latest results of the SFI Frontiers for the Future Project "Shortcut-Enhanced Quantum Thermodynamics".

Our paper on "High fidelity control of a many-body Tonks-Girardeau gas with an effective mean-field approach" has been published in Physical Review Research 6, 023114 (2024). This work has been done in collaboration with Muhammad S. Hasan, Thomas Fogarty and Thomas Busch (OIST, OKinawa, Japan). The work has been started during the research visit of Muhammad S. Hasan to our research group last year.
