The School of Pharmacy was delighted to welcome the students from the MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Systems to a recent workshop on campus.

Mohamed Elkhashab and Dr Carola Romani from the School of Pharmacy at University College Cork are among 39 researchers recently awarded a combined €4.3 million in funding under the 2025 Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship and Postdoctoral Fellowship programmes.

There was strong representation from School of Pharmacy, UCC staff and PhD researchers at the 15th World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Technology, held in Prague from 23–26 March 2026.

PharmSoc’s Run Club brought students together throughout the academic year, with weekly runs, social connection and student-led organisation at its core.

We were delighted to welcome Joe Keane, Tom Egan and Darran Goggin from Sandoz-Rowex to the School of Pharmacy, to acknowledge their support of our dispensing labs through the provision of vital dispensing stock.

The School of Pharmacy, University College Cork has risen to 92nd place globally in the 2026 QS World University Subject Rankings for Pharmacy and Pharmacology, placing it among the top 100 in the world for the discipline.

Rochestown Park Hotel was transformed on 20 February, as we took to the dance floor to celebrate the annual FARMacy Ball. 

We are now accepting applications for the Sept 2026 intake of the MSc Pharmaceutical Technology & Quality Systems programme at University College Cork.

In early March, BPharm4 student Sorcha Cronin spent several days in Portugal as part of the European Pharmaceutical Students Association (EPSA) Twinnet Mobility Programme.
