On Friday, 18 October 2019, the Centre for Law and the Environment at UCC hosted a major conference on the theme Enforcing European Union Environmental Law.

Dr. Maria Cahill and Dr. Conor O’Mahony were recognised at the UCC Staff Awards on Thursday 10 October 2019.

The researcher must develop a proposal with the host for the 20 November 2019 deadline.

The Centre for Law and the Environment at UCC is hosting a conference on Friday, 18 October 2019 on the theme Enforcing European Union Environmental Law.  The event, which runs from 2pm-6.30pm, is open to the public and is free of charge. 

Professor Ursula Kilkelly, Director of the Centre for Children’s Rights and Family Law and a professor at the School of Law undertook a week-long research visit to Wellington, New Zealand in August 2019.

ELPIN will facilitate the development of critical competencies among researchers around ethical and legal issues in pregnancy and childbirth in the new medical/legal/social/ethical environment following the repeal of the 8^th Amendment to the Constitution in May 2018.

Dr Mary Tumelty recently spoke at the Law and Society Associations Annual Conference in Washington D.C. and participated in an Advanced Mediation Workshop at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
