The first Irish live online Flood Warning System; in the future this site will be used by individuals and businesses throughout Ireland to view current river levels and rainfall.

We are currently developing a Flood Warning System for the Munster Blackwater, this is a research project and as you can see from the Flood Warning Page a Live website has been designed so that water levels are updated approximately every two hours.

When a flood peaks in Dromcummer we can expect that peak to reach Mallow approximately five hours later.

When a flood peaks in Duarrigle we can expect that peak to reach Mallow approximately eleven hours later.

Stage 1 (River heights exceed 2.3 m at Duarrigle, 2.1 m at Dromcummer and 2.5 m at Mallow ) - likely flooding to Longsfields Bridge and environs.
Stage 2 (River heights exceed 2.6 m at Duarrigle, 2.5 m at Dromcummer and 2.6 m at Mallow) - likely flooding to the Park Rd, Mallow and Environs.
Stage 3 (River heights exceed 3 m at Duarrigle, 2.6 m at Dromcummer and 3 m at Mallow) - the likelihood of serious flooding in Mallow.

+ positive rate of rise means the river is rising
- negative rate of rise means that the river is falling

Stage 1 - likely flooding to Longsfields Bridge and environs.
Stage 2 - likely flooding to the Park Rd, Mallow and Environs.
Stage 3 - the likelihood of serious flooding in Mallow.
