Biography

Dr Fiona Ryan qualified as a medical doctor from UCC in 1979. Following completion of general professional training and 3 years working in international health she entered public health medicine and completed training in 1994. She has an MSc in Community Health (Trinity College Dublin, 1988) and MFPHMI (RCPI, 1993). She has worked as a Consultant in Public Health Medicine since 1995. She currently works in the area of health protection, with a special interest in vaccine preventable diseases and immunisation.
