Biography

Aline is a HRB PhD scholar in Health Services Research, her area of interest are infectious diseases, in particular blood-borne viruses (hepatitis B, C and HIV). Her PhD will examine at the cost and provision of ambulatory HIV services in Ireland. Since obtaining her MPhil in Epidemiology from Cambridge University in 2000 Aline has worked in public health in Ireland. As part of her work as a surveillance scientist in the HPSC she was involved in the setting up the National Hepatitis C Database for people infected through blood and blood products. More recently she worked as a surveillance officer in the department of public health for Cork and Kerry, working on routine infectious disease notifications.
