This year's course has reached its capacity. Please note it will run again in 2015. Applications will be made available in July 2015. Please book early next year due to high demand. 

 

The philosophy of the course is to provide a specialised learning opportunity which will enable healthcare workers from all disciplines enhance and increase their knowledge of infection prevention and control thus improving patient care. The course is designed to meet the need of the target audience; healthcare workers involved in the delivery of patient care in acute care, residential care and general practice.  

The course is funded by the HSE South Infection Prevention and Control Committee and there is no charge for attendees.

Participation in this course is an ideal way in which to update your knowledge in relation to infection prevention and control and new developments in this area. The course is designed to deliver the content in an interactive and dynamic format with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues.

Participation in the course will ensure the educational requirements for staff specified in the National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland (Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), 2009) are met.
