Programme Description
The PhD in Management and Marketing offers you the opportunity to pursue research on a specialist topic in management or marketing. The PhD is now, effectively, a pre-requisite for a career in academia.
"Since undertaking the PhD programme with the Department of Management & Marketing, I have gained invaluable experience from weekly seminars and workshops run by both the Department and the Humanities. I have also tutored on a number of modules which has both informed my research and enhanced my teaching skills. There is a great sense of camaraderie between the PhD students and the MSc students. The Department has been extremely helpful in providing the necessary resources to support us in our undertakings." PhD Student
The PhD degree is the university's highest academic qualification. Applicants should normally have a master's degree and an excellent academic record. It is a hugely valuable qualification for anyone interested in a career in advanced research, academia or consulting. The degree normally takes a minimum of three years full-time or six years part-time.
