UCC PhD student wins best Flash Presentation at the GP2A in France

Congratulations to PhD student Mary McKee, winner of the best Flash Presentation at the GP2A in Angers, France. 

The GP2A (Groupement des Pharmacochimistes de l’Arc Atlantique) was created 24 years ago and brings together participants from universities in France, England, Ireland, Germany, Scotland, Wales, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. The GP2A conference aims at providing an opportunity for scientists from academia and industry to meet and share results on medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry. Mary is undertaking her research on novel ellipticines under the supervision of Dr. Florence McCarthy funded by the Irish Research Council and her talk concerned the new development in the group of anticancer benzofuran conjugates.
