Dr Chikondi Kandulu Highlights Pandemic Preparedness Research in Irish Pharmacy Union Review
The October edition of IPU Review features research by P.hD candidate Dr Chikondi Kandulu and co-authors Dr Aoife Fleming, Dr Aoife O’Mahony, Dr Sheena McHugh, Dr Gillian W. Shorter, Dr Emma Berry, Dr Caoimhe Shields, Dr Najam Sahar, Prof. Anne C. Moore and Prof. Laura J. Sahm. The study examines Ireland’s COVID-19 vaccination programme, highlighting the importance of leadership, collaboration, flexible vaccine delivery and effective communication in strengthening immunisation services and preparing for future pandemics.

2026 School of Pharmacy Assembly | Traveller Perspectives on Health and Healthcare
Our 2026 School Assembly talk was delivered by Biddy McDonagh and Eileen Burke from the Traveller Visibility Group, Cork. Their talk, ‘Traveller Perspectives on Health and Healthcare’, provided valuable insight into the experiences of the Traveller community and some of the challenges they face, including the accommodation crisis, mental health issues and inequalities in access to healthcare.

Fourth-year Pharmacy Students Take Part in Erasmus+ BIP in Murcia, Spain
Ten fourth-year UCC Pharmacy students travelled to Murcia, Spain, from 25–29 September 2026 to take part in an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) hosted by UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia.
