Memorial service held for Frank McGrath
A memorial event was held in UCC today in commemoration of the life and service of staff member Frank McGrath. Family, friends and colleagues gathered to remember a cherised member of the community.
A memorial mass took place, during which the immensely positive contributions Frank McGrath made across so many different areas of life were fondly recalled. Following the ceremony, a tree was planted in the President's garden in his honour.
Frank McGrath joined UCC in 1986 and was a most respected member of the Buildings and Estates Department. Immensely popular among all staff, he was elected on two occasions to membership of the Governing Body where he shared his wisdom, pragmatism and above all his loyalty to, and pride in UCC.
