The Business of Climate Change
11.05.2009

An explanation of how climate change will transform global commerce and affect business strategy will be the subject of the next lecture at UCC on climate change and its implications for the future of society.
Professor David Korowicz, Head of Research & Consultant, Ecology Foundation will illustrate how business can play a leading role to help society adapt to the inevitable challenges in his lecture titled: "The Business of Climate Change".  The lecture will be delivered on Wednesday, May 13th at 8pm in Boole III Lecture Theatre.

The Ecology Foundation, in association with Siemens Ireland and in collaboration with the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science, UCC, is presenting a series of lectures designed to educate and encourage undergraduate and graduate students to assess how they can play a role in meeting the challenge of tackling climate change.  The lectures not only focus on the challenge of climate change, but also on the positive role science, engineering, innovation and business can make by addressing it.

The Ecology Foundation believes that the lectures will be of distinct value to all students, particularly to those studying engineering and business disciplines, and also to the general public.

The lectures are hosted by UCC as an extension of the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science 2009 Public Lecture Series and will run each Wednesday evening.  Admission is free and all are welcome.
