ENTRUST research presented at WSED 2018

UCC's Niall Dunphy, was a guest speaker at the the recent World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED 18) held in Wels, Austria, where he presented the work of the ENTRUST project. 

In addition, members of the ENTRUST research consortium hosted a workshop on the project's esearch outcomes. The workshop was a great success, demonstrated by the additional space needed to accommodate the high level of delegate interest in the project.


The World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED) is one of the largest conferences of its kind in Europe and takes place annually during February/ March in Wels, Austria. Energy efficiency and renewable energy are key to the EU’s economic competitiveness at all levels, from member states, to the regions, down to individual businesses; with the resulting economic growth leading to new and heretofore unforeseen opportunities in employment and environmental comfort for all citizens. This two-day event, which ran from Wednesday 28 February to Friday 2 March, brought together over 600 delegates from 50+ countries to discuss nnovative research and renewable energy projects from across Europe.
