Student Poster Competition on Global Development Themes

The CGD issued an invitation to students interested in global development to submit a poster describing their activities, which could relate to research, campaigning, volunteering or other ways students engage with development. In launching this competition the CGD aimed to bring such student activities to a wider audience. A diverse number of posters were submitted and displayed at the UCC International Development Showcase event on 10^th November.

The poster competition was won by Ju Eun Lee, a final year medical student: her poster is titled “North Korean Refugees’ Perspectives on Health, the Healthcare System, and Access to Healthcare in the Greater Toronto Area”. The runner up was Ramesha Ali, also a medical student, whose poster is titled “Postpartum Depression in Pakistan: Current State and Future Direction”.
