Study with Us

The School of Film, Music & Theatre at University College Cork is a centre of innovative learning where degrees at all levels rely on closely integrated theoretical and practical teaching.

We offer a broad range of programmes at all levels. Teaching on the history and theory of our arts and their contexts, and individual and group practical tutoring and activities, performance and creativity (film-making, rehearsing, singing, performing, dancing) are at the core of the School’s degrees.

Our world-class faculty work across a wide range of disciplines, lecturing and supervising in Western to Global contexts, from the traditional and the historical to the contemporary and experimental.

Our graduates are flexible, empowered, world-ready professionals who will work in traditional creative roles and in jobs yet unimagined by emerging technologies, across the creative industries and beyond.

See below for details of our Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, our Facilities, and to learn more about some of our Graduates.

UCC is ranked in the top 120 universities for Performing Arts in the QS World University Rankings 2023–24.
