STOCHASTICA Voices – The International Day of Girls and Women in Science
On the International Day of Girls and Women in Science (February 11, 2026), we join the global community in recognising the essential contributions of girls and women to science, research, and innovation! At STOCHASTICA, this is an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the women who help strengthen our network every day through their creativity and dedication.
On this occasion, we are launching STOCHASTICA Voices, a new initiative dedicated to sharing perspectives from across our community. This first edition is devoted to the women of our network. Through their work in mathematics, computation, and applications, they shape not only research directions, but also the communities we work in.
We begin by highlighting the voices of women in the STOCHASTICA Core Group:
- Prof Mireille Bossy
- Prof Sonja Cox
- Prof Evangelia Kalligiannaki
- Dr Oana Lang
With their leadership, scientific vision, and commitment to community building, they play a central role in shaping STOCHASTICA’s present and future.
Through STOCHASTICA Voices, we look forward to continuing to share and celebrate the people behind the mathematics!
Through their work in mathematics, computation, and applications, they help shape not only research directions, but also the communities we work in.
