🇬🇧 Teacher's Guide

You are opening a teacher’s guide focused on providing teachers with practical guidance on preparing and delivering education on inclusivity in clinical trials. As teacher knowledge level and practical experience in trials will vary, we prepared this manual to enable implementation of the curriculum and ensure the e-learning training materials are used effectively to deliver a high quality curriculum.

Abstract

This teacher’s guide closely follows the structure of the curriculum lessons and adds detailed methodological guidance. It supports those organising lessons according to the target audience, implementing the curriculum in a variety of modalities (e.g., blended classroom, collaborative online international learning) and actively engaging students in both synchronous online and face-to-face settings. The teacher’s guide also provides solutions to practical activities and includes useful hints and recommendations.

In addition, the guide offers specific support for teaching in multilingual environments. While the original materials and teacher’s guides are developed in English and then translated into French, German and Czech, some resources (e.g., videos, academic publications, articles, and various interactive or multimedia materials) cannot be translated. Therefore, this guide includes practical strategies for working with these resources in classrooms with non-native speakers, including guidance on how to facilitate understanding.

Furthermore, the guide provides recommendations and tips on how to support students with disabilities and specific educational needs (including ADHD, visual and hearing impairments, dyslexia, etc.). It offers inclusive teaching strategies to ensure all students can effectively participate in, and benefit from, the learning process.
