ResilientCrop at the UCC Grand Challenges Workshop
Recruiting the next generation of Plant Scientist for the Grand Challenges of the Future
On Friday the 11th of March 2025, PhD student Grace Hurley, Post Doc researcher Catherine Tucker Née Gough, and principal investigator Rossana Henriques from the ResilientCrop team attended a workshop in UCC for first year student of the Biological Earth and Environmental Sciences course.
This workshop aimed at showcasing many of the research projects involved in the Plant Science lab and hoped to gain new students in the undergraduate course for Applied Plant Biology. It was a brilliant opportunity to have students engage with the work of our project, hear their thoughts, and provide new insights.
Approximately 150 students attended over the duration of the event some of whom we will be hoping to see in the Plant science lab in the coming years.
