NorseMap was delighted to feature in The Viking Herald, which highlighted the launch of the new iViking app.
Tom Birkett, PI of the NorseMap project, discussed the launch of the new iViking app. In the interview, Tom outlined how the app enables people around the world to contribute photographs of Viking-related heritage and culture, helping researchers build a crowdsourced map of how the Viking past is remembered and reinterpreted today. He also reflected on the project's broader aim of understanding why Viking heritage continues to resonate with communities across different countries and cultures.
