The UCC Graduate Recruitment Festival, held on 7-8 October, attracted approximately 3,450 student attendances, representing a 4.5% increase on 2025. Employer participation also grew, with 138 organisations attending, up from 127 last year.
The Festival's revised sector-based format was well received by both students and employers, helping to facilitate more focused engagement and meaningful conversations.

On 13th May, President John O'Halloran launched the Printed in Defiance: Making the 1916 Proclamation exhibition.
The exhibition tells the powerful, behind‑the‑scenes story of the 1916 Proclamation and shifts the focus from the famous words to the people who made it's creation, survival and preservation possible.
This exhibition marks the first time the Proclamation has been publicly displayed since 2022.

On 22 April, the Office of the Vice President for Learning and Teaching (OVPLT) was delighted to host a delegation from Portugal at University College Cork.
The delegation included vice rectors, policy makers, academic and professional services staff, and students, representing a number of institutions and organisations, including Universidade do Porto, Universidade de Coimbra, Universidade do Minho, and others.

The MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education 2025/26 is now open for applications.
The MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (for third-level education teachers) is designed to encourage you to research your teaching and your students’ learning in more depth. Teachers will identify a research topic to pursue and will write a publishable paper for a specific teaching and learning journal in their own disciplinary area or in the broader educational field of the scholarship of teaching and learning. The focus of the MA is to encourage you to identify with your teaching an inquiry process, to peer review your teaching, to network with peers interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning, and to publish in this field.
