New research published in Nature reveals feather-like structures in a 247-million-year-old reptile, rewriting the timeline of feather evolution and offering fresh insights into the early development of skin appendages in ancient reptiles.

An innovative project to approach climate change communication has received funding at University College Cork (UCC).

Four towns across Ireland will be shortly chosen and hairdressers in each town will be provided with a suite of training materials about climate change and the role that local communities can play in addressing it. 

• UCC workshop underscored storytelling and the arts as essential catalysts for effective climate communication and progress on the UN SDGs.
• Former UN Ambassador and co-founder of the 2030 SDG Agenda David Donoghue addressed the event.
• The workshop featured researchers from across UCC, research centres and partners including Met Éireann, Cork Chamber and the Glucksman.
