About Us

UCC Equestrian club is a club dedicated to all things equestrian - from competing in intervarsity competitions of show jumping, dressage and tetrathlon, to learning polocrosse or gathering for relaxed lessons. UCC Equestrian Club has so much to offer equestrians of all abilities.

In semester one, we will compete in tetrathlon. This includes running, swimming, shooting and show jumping. It gives freshers and newcomers a great opportunity to get to know one another and other club members. We organise weekly group trainings to prepare for this event.

In semester two, we will compete in intervarsities where you can compete in dressage, show jumping, or prix caprilli with training at an equestrian centre in Cork to prepare for the event. This year, our dressage team came 1st at varsities in Belfast, with an outstanding performance also in the prix caprilli and show jumping.

We also provide training and events in polocrosse! This is a great opportunity to try something new and no prior experience in polocrosse is required.

Making friends and having fun is also a vital part of UCC Equestrian. We organise social nights and events throughout the college year, and these are a great way to meet new people and have fun! We also organise beginner lessons for anybody who may like to learn how to ride a horse!
