School of Engineering receives full accreditation from Engineers Ireland for the eight Programmes in the School.
The School of Engineering has achieved full accreditation from Engineers Ireland for the 8 programmes in the School. The ME degrees in Civil Structural & Environmental Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Energy Engineering and Process & Chemical Engineering all achieved accreditation from Engineers Ireland for the first time. The 5 year ME degrees were introduced by the School of Engineering to fulfil the educational requirements for Chartered Engineer. Attending the presentation was Professor Stephen Byrne, Deputy President and Registrar of UCC; President of Engineers Ireland, John Power CEng FIEI, who presented the accreditation parchments; Michal Dymet, Chair of Cork Region of Engineers Ireland; Richard Manton, Interim Registrar Engineers Ireland and staff from School of Engineering UCC.
