Government of Ireland – International Education Scholarships 2025

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to issue the 2025 Call under the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme.
The programme is funded by the Government of Ireland in partnership with Irish higher education institutions (HEIs) and managed by the Higher Education Authority. Under the initiative, 60 scholarships are awarded each year for one year of full-time study at NFQ levels 9 or 10.
The offer is open to students from non-EU/EEA countries and is applicable to all fields of study.
Students who are successful will receive:
- A €10,000 stipend for one year’s study
- A full fee waiver of tuition at the higher education institution
Applications can be submitted via the online portal here.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm (Irish Time) 05 March 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
The HEA expects to release the results of GOI-IES 2025 in early June 2025.
The scholarship may be for:
- one year of a full-time master’s (taught or research) or PhD programme.
