University College Cork Ionising Radiation License
The UCC Ionising Radiation License held with the EPA is a regulatory requirement that permits the use of certain radioactive materials and machines in UCC given particular circumstances. It is a requirement that all radio isotopes and machines such as x-ray machines are registered with the RPO and put on the license subject to authorisation. This should be done during the purchase of such materials and machines, any materials or machines in UCC that are not on the license should be reported to the RPO for licensing and not used until authorised. Please contact the RPO tdowdall@ucc.ie in the event of new purchases or any changes in licensing requirements.
Below you can find the 2019-2029 EPA Ionising Radiation License, maintained by the RPO.
